Ashfield House Surgery PPG was developed as a way to encourage patient involvement, influence the development of local health services, exchange ideas and provide practical support within the community and the practice.
The PPG (Patient Participation Group) was initially set up at the practice back in 2011 following a successful advertising campaign seeking interested patients to become members. There was an excellent response and in October 2011 the first meeting was held. We now have a fairly new group of PPG members who are still actively looking for new recruits to come and join our friendly team.
The group now has several members with a chair, secretary and treasurer quarterly meetings are arranged and supported with an agenda and minutes, the PPG has its own notice board within the practice surgery, produces a quarterly newsletter, and attends local events of interest.
The group would welcome new members to join the group, so if you are registered at the practice, are interested in finding out more and would like to attend a meeting or if you would just like to speak to a member or ask a question please contact Carla Jones, Reception Lead at Ashfield House either by calling in or ringing on 01623 752153 or 752295 to leave your details.
The quarterly meetings are usually held in surgery on Wednesday afternoons, however the group would be happy to look at alternative times or days to suit any interested new members. The date of the meeting will be displayed on a noticeboard within the practice.
